12/27/2008 - Samples of our CD : We have samples of all 7 songs off of our debut CD titled "Somewhere In Between." Just Click Here to listen to the samples. Also, you can hear all of them live at Sine's Irish Pub on New Year's Eve...we go on at 9:30pm so get there early---it will be packed. If thatdoesn't give you incentive enough to get you to the show, then come by and say goodbye to our drummer, Jamey Morris. Jamey has been with us from the beginning and we will miss him behind the kit. But worry not!!! Our new drummer, Jeff Rothman, will be in attendance to bring in the new year with us and he will even sit in for a few songs to show the RIC that we will not miss a beat....pun intended. So, we hope to see you there!!!!!!!
11/28/2008 - 3 Reasons to go to Sine's on 12/31 : Reason 1--> Broken Monday is playing. Reason 2--> It will be our drummer Jamey's last show. Reason 3--> We are having our CD release party that night!! We are proud to announce that our first CD titled "Somewhere in Between", will be available for sale New Year's Eve for only $6--or 2/$10. We may even bring our sharpies that night to sign a few if you like. We have been working on this album for a few months and are anxious to get it into your hands. So on New Year's Eve you can bring in the new year with Broken Monday, say goodbye to our drummer Jamey, and purchase one of our CD's. Be sure to plan ahead for transportation and we hope to see you there!!!
8/13/2008 - CD Complete!!! : We have finished our first CD and we are very excited about what we have accomplished. All that is left to do is to get the CD's duplicated and packaged and get the product out to you. We have a tentative title to our debut album but we are still in the planning stages of the release of the title, the venue, and date of our release party so stay tuned!!!Don't for get to check out our schedule to see when we are playing next....See You Soon!!!
6/20/2008 - Studio Time : After a few personnel changes and 3 years of writing and composing, we are excited to announce that we will be heading into the studio to record our first album together. We haven't narrowed down how many songs we will be recording but the album will have a varying range of styles that encompass the diversity of musical influences each member brings to the band. Most of the lyrics and music have been written by our front-man Mike Devericks plus we also may be bringing in some other local musicians--friends of the band--to add a little flavor to the album as well. Once we have completed the recording process, we will schedule our CD release party shortly after duplication....which reminds me.....We don't have a name for our album either!!! Feel free to give us your ideas and thoughts for a good name for our debut album. Be sure to check out our schedule for upcoming shows.
6/4/2008 - June 13th : Finally, after playing some private shows, working on original music, and putting our drummer Jamey under the knife (knee surgery), WE ARE BACK at Sine's Irish Pub on the 13th of June. That's right, Friday the 13th!!!!! It should be a great crowd...as usual...so be sure to bring a friend and share some pints with the band. Also, in order to make him feel a little less pain while playing, Jamey will be welcoming all forms of shots and shooters to get through the night---see you there!!!
5/13/2008 - Friday and Saturday Shows : This Friday and Saturday we will be performing at one of Richmond's top band venues......the Tobacco Company. This will be our first time playing for them so we expect our very loyal fan base to make it a good night/weekend for them. We start at 9:30pm and play until 1:30 each night and we look forward to seeing you all there. Remember to visit our website and Myspace site to catch our next few shows and to keep up with all that is happening with 'Broken Monday'. See you at the Tobacco Company!!!!!!!!
4/30/2008 - This Saturday 5/3 : Be sure to get out and help us kick off the month of May this Saturday at Sine's Irish Pub. Start time for the night will be 9:30pm and we will go until they tell us to power down our amps!!!! We have a busy schedule for the next few weeks so there should be no reason to miss a Broken Monday show. So, once you have left Brown's Island after rocking out with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, you need to grab your wallet, your friends, and hell--grab Joan herself, and head over to Sine's Irish Pub. SEE YOU THERE!!! NEW VENUE ALERT-->On May 16th and 17th we will be playing for the first time at The Tobacco Company. Check out their website for the start time and also their great menu items.
4/7/2008 - Originals from Broken Monday : We will be back playing here in Richmond after a very short month off to work on our original music....due to be recorded in June. We thank all of you that came out to our show at Easy Street and a special thanks to Dave Shultz, Mary Lou and the whole crew at Easy Street for making it a great night at one of Richmond's top band venues. Remember: May 3rd we will be back into the swing of things and you can check out our upcoming shows on the website here or on our myspace page. See you soon!!!!!!
4/3/2008 - EASY STREET---Saturday 4/5 : Be sure to get on over to Easy Street Cafe this Saturday night to catch a set or two and also to help us down some pints of ale. This will be our last show for a month or so and during our time off we will be working on our original material---to be completed and recorded by June. So, we look forward to seeing you there--by the way--this is Ben's first time at Easy Street so help us welcome him to one of the best night spots in the Fan.
3/12/2008 - SATURDAY NIGHT 3/15/08 : Starting at 9pm, we will be headlining the 9th Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Sine's Irish Pub. There will be plenty of green beer, green beads, and green "whatever" for all to enjoy. Make sure you get by earlier to see the other acts performing such as Uisce Beatha, US,and Naughty Little Monkey. We hope to see you all there and remember to beat the lines and show up as early as possible!!!!
